Submission FAQs
What kind of acts can submit?
Submissions are open for improv, sketch comedy, characters, clown, and anything that fits in the experimental or alt comedy category. Established teams and shows preferred, but all submissions will be carefully considered. Please note: Times will vary based on show blocks and type of act. The maximum performance time for any act is 30 minutes.
Can I submit more than one act?
There is no limit to how many acts you can submit. Each act requires its own form entry and fee.
Are submissions open only for Dallas performers?
Not at all! We encourage folks from all over to submit. Last year's fest included folks from Florida, Oklahoma, LA, Chicago, and more! All performers, local or travelling, will be responsible for their own travel costs. DICF does not offer travel or lodging reimbursements.
Are there any submission requirements?
A video submission is required for each entry, which can be submitted using a YouTube or Google Drive Folder link. Submissions without videos will not be considered. All acts are encouraged to submit a graphic and bio for DICF promo. Additional promo materials may be requested once acts are selected.
What if I don't have a video to submit?
All submissions require a video upload. If you don't have a video of a live performance, or won't have a chance to get footage of a live show before the submission deadline, get creative! Record a rehearsal, back yard show, or even an audition video in your living room. We want to see your show!
Are you accepting Stand-Up submissions?
DICF is not accepting stand-up submissions at this time.
When will DICF teams be announced?
Selected performers will be notified no later than February 8, 2026. Official DICF performer promo will begin in February 2026.
