SUBMISSION FAQs
What kind of acts can submit?
DICF is looking for improv teams, sketch comedy, and anything that fits in the experimental or alt comedy category. The latter can include one-person shows, character shows, or any out-of-the-box concept show you wish to submit! Established teams and shows preferred, but all submissions will be carefully considered. Please note: there are several slot lengths available, and the maximum performance time for any act is 30 minutes.
What does it cost to submit?
There is a $25 submission fee per entry (plus a small processing fee). This fee is non-refundable and will be applied directly to festival costs to bring you the BEST event we possibly can!
Are submissions open only for Dallas performers?
Heck no! We encourage folks from all over to submit. All performers, local or travelling, will be responsible for their own travel costs. DICF does not offer travel or lodging reimbursements.
Can I submit more than one act?
There is no limit to how many acts you can submit. Each act submitted requires its own submission form and $25 submission fee (plus a small processing fee).
Are there any submission requirements?
A video submission is required for each entry, which can be submitted using a YouTube or Google Drive Folder link. Submissions without videos will not be considered. All acts are encouraged to submit a graphic (square preferred) and a bio for DICF promo. Additional promo materials may be requested once acts are selected.
What if I don't have a video to submit?
All submissions require a video upload. If you don't have a video of a live performance, or won't have a chance to get footage of a live show before the submission deadline, get creative! Record a rehearsal, or even an audition video in your living room. We want to see your show!
Are you accepting Stand-Up submissions?
We are not accepting stand-up submissions at this time.
How long are submissions open?
Submissions are open now through Friday, January 31, 2025.
When will DICF teams be announced?
Performers will be notified no later than Monday, February 10, 2025. Official DICF performer promo will begin in February 2025.
