Dallas Indie Comedy Festival is returning April 9-12, 2026! Excited to get involved? DICF has several volunteer positions available for folks interested in contributing hands-on help. It truly takes a village! This is an opportunity to jump in behind the scenes, both during and leading up to DICF 2026. Volunteers will be compensated with special festival perks, including DICF swag, tickets to shows, free meals and goodies, and of course, our undying gratitude and affection! (Priceless, tbh.)

DICF Volunteer Positions
Street Team + Promo
Volunteers in this position will assist with the distribution of marketing materials both online and IRL at selected establishments. This position may include light errands, such as retrieving materials from printers. The ideal Street Team + Promo candidate has pre-festival availability, as most street team days will be scheduled in March and early April 2026. (Exact dates TBD)
Pre-Fest Hospitality
Help DICF prepare festival materials such as swag bags, festival badges, performer materials, and more. Ideal Pre-Fest Hospitality candidates have evening and weekend availability April 1-9, 2026, and/or daytime availability Thursday, April 9th.
Fest Hospitality
Fest volunteers will provide hands-on help during DICF events. Examples include setting up and tearing down festival events, welcoming and educating guests, distributing wristbands, providing backup at the merch and welcome tables, and general on-site festival assistance. Volunteer shifts will be available all four days of DICF.
Tech
We have three full nights of programming planned, featuring everything from improv acts to full blown hour-long sketch productions, and need people up in the booth helping produce these shows! You'll be in the booth playing music, pulling lights, and helping be a part of the show itself! There will be time set aside for tech rehearsals depending on the requirements of the act. Tech experience preferably required!
